Performers usually include local favorites, international discoveries and occasional superstars. We choose our artists primarily from their performances at the Chewstick Neo-Griot Lounge, which is a weekly open-mic jam session. Chewstick is dedicated to breaking down social barriers, providing opportunities for storytellers of every medium and committed to being a part of the solution. Chewstick is the frontline of change; attracting the most diverse, inclusive and exciting audience and participants to be found. Anyone is welcome to perform at Chewstick but a committee picks Beachfest talent from those that perform. If you are interested in performing at Beachfest, please check out our submission guidelines here & try not to badger us, we will get back to you! While one of us may love someone, not everyone can take the stage at Beachfest. If you are dedicated to performing, keep trying!
