Drink
One thing that we cannot stress heavily enough is that you drink plenty of water. Long hours on the beach in the sun, swimming, dancing and drinking alcohol can dehydrate you and take a toll on your physical health. Stay hydrated with plenty of water. For more information on where to find water, see the Facilities area of the website.
We would like to encourage you to leave your alcohol at home and support our bar on the beach. Drinks are cheap and the money goes to support The Chewstick Foundation putting on more great, free events like Beachfest. Without your bar support, we would not be able to run such an amazing event.
If you do choose to bring your own alcohol, please be responsible and try to avoid bringing glass bottles. Broken glass in the sand is very difficult to pick up and can be very dangerous if accidentally stood on. Pour your alcohol into plastic bottles. Also be aware of the amount of trash you are creating and be conscientious to remove it when you leave the beach.
Please know your limits and those of your friends. Avoid binge-drinking and you will be guaranteed a better time at Beachfest and an easier time the following morning! Remember that the age limit for drinking is 18 and we reserve the right to ask for ID when selling you tickets as well as refuse you service if you are overly intoxicated. Do not buy tickets or drinks for underage friends, you risk trouble for both of yourselves. Do not drink and drive or ride. There will be taxis available, or you can stay on the sand and party with us until the morning.
